Friday 16 February 2024
We are pleased to introduce our newest member: The European Art Academy Trier Founded in 1977 by Erich Kraemer, The European Art Academy Trier has continually aimed to realise and embrace its founder’s principle of "art through knowledge”, by ensuring that accessing art education is open to all. Located in the west of Trier, Germany, the institute provides a variety of studio spaces that serve the needs of the artists, as well as halls which offer a wide range of options for events and exhibitions. The city itself serves as a lively backdrop for students on their creative paths, offering a rich artistic and cultural heritage complete with museums such as The Karl Marx House, as well as historical monuments dating back to Roman times. With an aim to educate students of all levels from beginner to advanced, The European Art Academy Trier offers courses in a wide array of artistic disciplines including painting, drawing, sculpture, installations, printmaking, photography and new media. Students can complete a 6-semester programme that covers every aspect from art theory and art history to the practical aspects of creating art. A project study is also available to students who are already pursuing their own artistic endeavours. Outside of studies, the institute also offers workshops, school trips, art associations and student groups, exhibitions, art history lectures and concerts. We warmly welcome The European Art Academy Trier and look forward to working together in the future. Welcome to ELIA!
