Deadline Extended: Host the ELIA Biennial Conference 2026 and General Assembly
Wednesday 20 March 2024

ELIA members are invited to nominate a host venue for the ELIA Biennial Conference 2026. The deadline for nominations has been extended to 10 October 2024.
As one of the foremost conferences in higher arts education today, the ELIA Biennial Conference aims to create a unique platform that promotes and celebrates the sharing of artistic practices, research and new ideas. Drawing approximately 400-500 directors, researchers, administrative staff, lecturers, students, artists and thinkers from across the globe, this seminal event creates international linkage for future collaborations in different fields, disciplines and career paths.
HOSTING THE ELIA BIENNIAL CONFERENCE Along with the steering group, the host institution will have the chance to actively develop the conference by initiating the theme, formulating the call for contributions, developing the format of the programme, and much more. Hosting the Biennial Conference will provide a myriad of opportunities such as: - Showcasing your facilities to fellow higher arts institutions and universities from all over the world.
- Providing a network for engagement between academic staff, management and students.
- Making your institution a central point for the congregation of international peers.
ELIA is committed to minimising the ecological footprint of its events, which affects the areas of travel, accommodation, venue, catering and materials produced and supplied. The host will be asked to follow the event environmental guidelines and be ready to develop and implement an environmental sustainability plan for the ELIA Biennial Conference together with the ELIA Office.
