Welcome Our Newest Member, Les Beaux-Arts de Marseille to ELIA

Tuesday 25 June 2024

We are proud to announce that Les Beaux-Arts de Marseille has joined ELIA.

Founded in 1752, Les Beaux-Arts de Marseille was established by local artists and the governor of Provence. Since 1969, it has been situated on the scenic Luminy campus, a hub for artistic creativity and innovation.

Les Beaux-Arts de Marseille offers bachelor's and master's programmes, and trains artists, designers, and creators across various disciplines within the visual arts. The institution is an integral member of the L'école(s) du Sud network, which unites the region's art and design schools.

To stay at the forefront of higher arts education, Les Beaux-Arts de Marseille has embraced modern technology and professionalisation programmes. The school boasts a high-tech digital platform, specialised manufacturing spaces, and extensive facilities for printing, publishing, 3D manufacturing, and traditional techniques like wood, metal, screen printing, and engraving.

Since 2017, Les Beaux-Arts de Marseille has been a dedicated partner of the Equal Opportunities program (Le programme Égalité des Chances) led by the Culture & Diversity Foundation (Fondation Culture et Diversité). This program supports high school students from lower economic backgrounds in accessing arts and culture, spanning various cultural fields, including heritage, cinema, art, performing arts, journalism, and fashion.

With over 50 partner schools worldwide, Les Beaux-Arts de Marseille maintains a strong international focus, promoting a global perspective among its students. This dedication to blending traditional craftsmanship, contemporary practices, and diverse cultural influences ensures that its graduates are well-equipped to excel in the dynamic field of visual arts.
