Meet Our Newest Member: Hacettepe University, Institute of Fine Arts

We are proud to announce that Hacettepe University, Institute of Fine Arts has joined ELIA. 

Founded in 1967 and based in Ankara, Türkiye, Hacettepe University is one of the country’s most prestigious public research institutions. With 16 faculties and 15 institutions spanning disciplines as diverse as law, medicine, science, and arts, the university is a hub of academic excellence and interdisciplinary collaboration. 

A cornerstone of its creative academic landscape is the Institute of Fine Arts, established in 1992. As the largest Institution of Fine Arts in Türkiye, it encompasses 11 departments, 4 divisions, and 33 graduate programmes dedicated to fine arts, design, music, and performing arts. The Institute’s mission is to provide world-class postgraduate education and promote research and practice in fine arts while nurturing high-level artists and researchers. Its vision is to train competent artist-scholars and lead advancements in Türkiye's fine arts sector through innovative academic programs and projects. 

Hacettepe University’s commitment to internationalisation is reflected in its vibrant community of over 1,000 international students and more than 60 international staff members, as well as its active membership in international organisations.
