Save the Date: JAMU International Theatre Conference

Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno is pleased to invite you to the JAMU International Theatre Conference, taking place between 27 – 28 February 2025 at the Tourist Information Centre (CIT Cinema and other premises) at Radnická 4 in Brno. The conference provides a platform for exploring and contrasting different research concepts in theatre practice and theory. The conference has welcomed over one hundred professional artists, researchers, and doctoral students  from around the world, offering them to introduce their research-in-progress to an international audience and discuss common methodological issues.

This year, the thirteenth edition, Art of Experience, will focus on personal experience as a fundamental source of artistic creation. The aim is not only to share knowledge and experience, but also to create an open space for sharing questions and feelings. 

The conference programme includes: 

📚Lectures by local and international artists 
🛠️A series of workshops 
👥Guided tours of the exhibition and social gatherings

The keynote speaker will be American filmmaker, photographer, curator, and educator Chi Jang Yin from the School of Cinematic Arts at DePaul University in Chicago, USA.
