Call for Papers – Unframing Knowledge: Artistic Research Beyond Theory and Practice

NABA, Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti invites researchers, artists, and educators to submit proposals for the upcoming international conference, Unframing Knowledge: Artistic Research Beyond Theory and Practice, taking place in Naples, between 27–29 October 2025. 
Hosted as part of the P+ARTS project and supported by the National Recovery Plan and NextGenerationEU, the conference aims to push the boundaries of artistic research by investigating the intersections between art,
 emerging technologies, new ecologies, and the Mediterranean context. The event offers a dynamic space to question and redefine the relationship between theory and practice in Artistic Research (AR). 

Themes include: 



• Artistic Research and emerging technologies 

• Mediterranean perspectives on AR 

• Ecological and geopolitical dimensions 

• Interdisciplinary methodologies 

Key Dates:

Abstract submission deadline: 25
May 2025 

Selected candidates announced: 10 June 2025 

Final papers due: 31 July 2025
