Candidate Profile As Finance Administrator you will handle ELIA’s bookkeeping, payroll, and financial administration. Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for processing financial transactions and ensuring ELIA’s financial records are accurate, timely, and well maintained. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with a hands-on mindset and a passion for numbers to contribute to an internationally active, creative organisation. This is a meaningful role for approximately two days a week in a supportive and inspiring environment – well suited to candidates at any stage of their professional journey. Please note: we will also consider proposals from administration bureaus for this role.
Tasks and Responsibilities Process and record all financial transactions of ELIA (Exact Online).Manage purchase invoices, accounts payable, and bank reconciliations.Process monthly payroll, including payroll tax and pension administration.Prepare membership fee invoices, monitor all payments and receivables.Support the Finance Manager in preparing financial reports.Ensure financial documentation is archived in accordance with Dutch and EU requirements.Monitor team members’ time writing. Competencies and Requirements Proficiency in accounting practices: knowledge of general accounting and bookkeeping, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and relevant financial regulations.Completed MBO 4 Bedrijfsadministratie, MBO 4 Financieel Administratief Medewerker, HBO Accountancy or HBO SPD Bedrijfsadministratie, or equivalent.At least two years of relevant work experience.Strong attention to detail in managing financial records.Hands-on approach, able to initiate tasks independently; strong interpersonal and communication skills.Proficiency in Exact Online is essential; proficiency in Basecone, SRXP, and Microsoft Office is an asset. Knowledge of Power BI is not required but considered a plus.Fluency or near-fluency in Dutch, with the ability to work in English.A passion for arts and culture is a plus.
