ELIA General Assembly June 2024Monday 17 June All ELIA members are invited to join the ELIA General Assembly 2024, which will take place online on Monday, 17 June 2024. PAPERS Papers will be uploaded and sent to the members on 3 June 2024. You can find the agenda of the General Assemby, which includes the voting items here. REGISTRATIONS All ELIA member attendees and voting representatives may register for the General Assembly until 10 June 2024 through the link below. Voting representatives from ELIA member institutions should make sure to check the field labeled: ‘I am a voting representative’ in the registration form to receive voting credentials. REGISTER HERE
QUESTIONS? Who is the voting representative in my institution? Every full ELIA member institution holds the right to vote at ELIA’s General Assemblies. This includes both European and non-European members. Each member institution holds one vote on presented motions and elections, to be cast by their voting representative selected prior to the assembly. All members of staff are eligible to be voting representatives, although voting representatives are usually part of the institution's leadership team. In order to vote, voting representatives must be registered with ELIA by 10 June 2024 at the latest through the regular registration form. Not sure whether you can register as a voting representative? Contact us. My institution is an associate member, can I attend? Yes, all ELIA members can attend the General Assembly. Associate members have no voting rights and therefore cannot register a voting representative, however they are very welcome to join as attendees. Electronic voting procedure Voting during the General Assembly will take place online, and conducted electronically. In order to vote, your voting representative must be registered with ELIA by 10 June 2024. The registered voting representative will receive further technical information on how to vote prior to the General Assembly. Voting will only be possible in real-time during the General Assembly. Accordingly, each registered voting representative will receive their voting credentials on 17 June 2024.Cannot attend? If your voting representative is unable to attend, we advise that you find another member of staff to vote on behalf of your institution on 17 June 2024. This person will then become your voting representative. Please inform us of this change by 10 June 2024. Given the online format, we assume it will not be necessary to provide a proxy vote to a representative from another institution. If you do wish to vote by proxy, please contact us.
