Call for Entries to II International Internet Competition Constantine the Great 2021

The unique II International Internet Competition Constantine the Great has been organised online, connecting people, removing all geographical barriers, opening the possibility for pupils, students and artists from all over the world to participate. The Constantine the Great competition jury consists of world-class artists.

The competition comprises Music, Visual and Applied arts, including the following 15 disciplines: World music, Chamber music, Wind instruments, String instruments, Piano, Solo singing, Guitar, Accordion, Percussions, Complementary piano, Vocal ensembles, Drawing, Printmaking, Poster and Photography. The Competition is organized in year-round cycles with the aim of developing, affirming young artists and strengthening international cultural relations.

To mark the completion of the competition’s annual cycle, a Gala concert of laureates and winners of the I Competition was to be organised on 3rd June 2020 in honour of the City of Niš celebration - St. Emperor Constantine and Empress Helena. However, due to the circumstances related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Laureates presented themselves with videos on the official YouTube channel of the Competition.

The organisers of the International Competition Constantine the Great are the Faculty of Arts in Niš, the University of Niš and the City of Niš. The deadline for II Competition Application is 31st January 2021. There are the awards determined - the Competition Grand Prix and the discipline Laureate, as well as the title of Competition Professor/Mentor. The video of the laureates of II Competition will be broadcast on 3rd June 2021 in honour of the City of Niš celebration.

Many greetings from Niš, the birthplace of Constantine the Great (born in 273). Through the issue or the Edict of Milan, he paved the spiritual path of tolerance.
