Blend & Bleed symposium presented by LUCA School of Arts
Monday 15 March 2021

LUCA School of Arts presents online symposium on transreality and pervasive play: Blend & Bleed
Hosted by the Inter-Actions research unit of LUCA School of the Arts, the series of online workshops conjures synergies between the fields of performance, Live Action Role Playing (LARP), game design and media theory. The common inquiry will be the phenomenon of "bleed," wherein the boundaries between fiction and reality, the virtual and physical world dissolve. The symposium links to the research on the hybridization of online gaming and performance. What can games teach us about the ways we construct worlds collectively?
The Inter-Actions research unit of LUCA School of the Arts invites you to partake in a series of playful experiments around digital presence, embodiment and relationality. Reflecting on the psychological, social and political implications of distance
you will explore virtual commoning practices and conspiratorial bleed.
The symposium consists of a series of eleven online workshops that start with spring on Saturday, March 20th and run every weekend until the 30th of May:
