ELIA is looking for a highly motivated intern for an upcoming research project. As a European based network of art universities, we want to look more deeply at our global presence and connectivity. This research project will target the current membership
to answer questions about topics of global connection and international reach and the needs of our members in this regard.
Create research questions and make a comprehensive analysis together with us. The research project can be part of your thesis or current study programme (not a requirement).

The ideal candidate should have an eye for detail, passion for qualitative and quantitative data and data analysis, excellent English writing skills and a strong motivation to find answers.
The Research Intern must be able to work independently, think critically and work to tight deadlines.
Organisation profile ELIA is a globally connected European network of art universities and academies that provides a dynamic platform for professional exchange and development in higher arts education. With over 260 members in 48 countries, it represents over 300.000 students in all art disciplines. ELIA is based in Amsterdam.
Responsibilities
The Research Intern will assist the ELIA Team as follows: :
- Co-develop the research project around the topic of ELIA’s global connectivity.
- Provide input to, and work with, ELIA’s Global Taskforce.
- Run the research using tools such as surveys and focus groups.
- Analyse results of the research and write overviews/reports.
- Provide a final report with the results of the project.
Requirements
- Higher education qualification in International Relations, Market Research, Business Administration, Marketing, or similar.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to effectively communicate and liaise with different groups and cultures.
- Computer literate and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Self-motivated, pro-active, well-organised, efficient.
- Experience with research and with conducting surveys is a pre.
