NEW EU FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES ANNOUNCED

EU institutes launched a number of exciting new calls for 2022 as well as a new tool to help navigate these EU funding opportunities. The biggest news for higher arts education institutions is the launch of the 2022 Erasmus+ guide. ELIA created an overview for you:
Erasmus+ 2022 programme guide published The 2022 programme, read the complete guide here, includes the well-known Erasmus+ mobility schemes, but also some other interesting opportunities worth highlighting:
Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters and Erasmus Mundus Design Measures – deadline 16 February 2022 Jointly delivered and recognised master programmes, delivered by international consortia (worldwide internationalisation of higher education institutions).
Capacity Building in Higher Education – deadline 17 February Multilateral partnerships between organisations active in the field of higher education, in line with European Commission priorities, geared to benefit the eligible third countries not associated to the Erasmus+ programme, their higher education institutions and systems.
Forward Looking Projects – deadline 15 March 2022
Collaborative projects aiming to identify, develop, test and/or assess innovative (policy) approaches to the education and training systems, that have the potential of becoming mainstreamed. Projects should respond to key EU priorities. Cooperation Partnerships – deadline 23 March 2022 International cooperation between organisations, aiming to strengthen capacity and to produce high-quality innovative deliverables.
Teacher Academies – deadline 7 September 2022 European partnerships of teacher education and training providers aiming to develop a European and international outlook in teacher education.
Alliances for Innovation – deadline 15 September 2022 Big cooperative projects between higher education, vocational education and training (both initial and continuous), and the broader socio-economic environment, focusing on boosting skills and innovating curricula. Special focus on: entrepreneurial mind-sets, digital and green skills.
Virtual exchanges in higher education and youth – deadline 20 September 2022 Virtual exchanges creating access to high-quality international and cross-cultural education, integrated in youth projects or higher education courses.
Not in the programme guide but also related: European Universities, second call – deadline 22 March 2022 2 strands: intensification of prior deep institutional transnational cooperation, and development of new deep institutional transnational cooperation. EIT Innovation Capacity Building for Higher Education - Deadline: 28 February 2022
Part of EIT’s HEI Initiative, this call by the EIT aims to create systemic impact in higher education at institutional level, by supporting higher education institutions (HEIs) to strengthen their innovation and entrepreneurial capacity and integrate into and engage with innovation ecosystems. It is expected to fund up to 40 HEI projects (consortia), for up to 1,2 million per 2-year project. Find out more, or read the full call for proposals.
CulturEU Interactive Funding Guide
The European Commission just launched an interactive funding guide to help individuals and organisations navigate EU funding opportunities for the cultural and creative sectors. This tool can also easily be used by arts education institutions. It covers grants under Creative Europe, Erasmus+, European Solidarity Corps, Horizon Europe, Digital Europe Programme, InvestEU, and more. Take a look here!
