ELIA Welcomes New Member: Southern Oregon University, Oregon Center for the Arts

We are delighted to announce our newest member: Oregon Center for the Arts, Southern Oregon University
The Oregon Center for the Arts
, a faculty of the Southern Oregon University,
educates students, artist-practitioners, and scholars within
a learning environment based on values of creativity, collaboration, discovery, and diversity.
The OCA offers programs of study for students in Music, Theatre, and Creative Arts. The OCA is
also a regional arts center which includes the Schneider Museum of Art (SMA), Oregon Fringe Festival, ShakespeareAMERICA,
and numerous other artistic institutions.
Additionally, OCA actively partners with community arts organisations, including
the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Ashland Independent Film Festival, and Youth Symphony of Southern Oregon.
With the overarching goal to “Bring creatives together”, OCA encourages its students to practice their individual artistic passions
, while also
inspiring one another across the disciplines.
Located in the city of Ashland, Oregon, the area is well-known for its tourism, entertainment, entrepreneurship, and breathtaking outdoor experiences.
OCA offers courses (at either Bachelor, Master, or Minor level) in:
- Master of Business Administration: Arts Management Concentration
- Creative Writing
- Emerging Media & Digital Arts (EMDA)
- Music
- Shakespeare Studies
- Theatre
- Visual Arts
