The Royal College of Art (RCA) welcomes you to join the upcoming IN SESSION talks, free online talks led by the RCA academic faculty, featuring notable guest speakers with industry specialism and leading professional practitioners in their field. Upcoming IN SESSION talks: Contemporary Pasts: Curating Archives and Collections for the Present with Ben Cranfield, Patrick Flores & Rosie Ram This IN SESSION event, Dr Ben Cranfield (Senior Tutor for MA Curating Contemporary Art at the RCA) will be joined in conversation by Patrick Flores (Professor of Art Studies at the Department of Art Studies at the University of the Philippines and Curator of the Vargas Museum in Manila). The discussion will consider the potential for contemporary art and curating to offer new ways of engaging with archives. The event will be chaired by Dr Rosie Ram (Associate Lecturer in MA Curating Contemporary Art and Course Leader of the Curating Contemporary Art and Design short courses at the RCA). Writing for Whom? The Publics of Curating with Jeremy Millar, Ralph Rugoff & Rosie Ram
This IN SESSION discussion brings together Jeremy Millar (Head of Programme for MA Writing at the RCA) and Ralph Rugoff (Director of the Hayward Gallery in London). The conversation will explore the relationship between writing, curating and contemporary art, and the ways in which these practices address different publics. The discussion will be chaired by Dr Rosie Ram (Associate Lecturer in Curating Contemporary Art and Course Leader of the Curating Contemporary Art and Design short courses at the RCA).
