ELIA Welcomes New Member: National Council for Arts and Culture

We are delighted to announce our newest member: The National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC)
 
Established in 1975, the National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC) is a Federal Government organ, charged with the responsibility of coordination, development and promotion of the Living Arts and Culture of Nigeria at national and international fora. NCAC is located in Abuja, Nigeria.
 
The aims of the NCAC are to coordinate, preserve, promote and present the best of Nigerian Crafts, Textiles, Cuisines, Traditional Dance, Drama, Opera, Cinema, Film, Photography, Folklore, Oral Traditions, Literature, Traditional games, Indigenous architecture, and to deploy them as tool for forging national unity and identity.
 
The NCAC's vision is to use culture as a cornerstone in contributing to building a solid nation where citizens view cultural diversity as a source of strength.
