Join the e-learning conference ‘LabDigital’ on Friday 10 February 2023, hosted by the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK), at Toni-Areal Kunstraum. This conference will take a closer look at the topic of the (digital) laboratory. ‘LabDigital’ is organised by the ZHdK's E-Learning, Dossier Learning & Teaching and is part of the "Experimental Learning Labs" of ELLA.  

 

The lab, a word originally associated with the sciences, refers to a place of work where experiments, measurements and analyses are carried out. In more recent years, "labs" have also been emerging in cultural and humanities institutions, the (creative) economy and in art & design colleges. 

 

Which explorative forms of learning and teaching and which interdisciplinary methods are lab-specific? And what potential does the digital lab have for inspired, critical thinking? Reflecting on the ZHdK's own labs together with international experts, the conference will take a closer look at the functions, visions and competence building of labs in a culture of digitality. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to visit the ZHdK laboratories in a ZHdK-tour and to exchange ideas.
