Call for applications 2023: Research MA in Social-Political Arts & Design at Sint Lucas, Antwerpen

There is a call for applications for the Advanced Master of Research in Arts & Design (2023-2024) at Sint Lucas Antwerpen. The application deadline is August 18, 2023.  
 
Are you an artist or designer working on social-political topics, and do you need more time for your practice-based research? Are you just starting or are you planning to apply for a practice-based PhD in the arts? Then this programme might be something for you!  
 
The advanced master programme focuses on the research development of artists and designers whose practice is anchored in a social-political context (including but not limited to feminism, social design, migration, decolonialism, class politics, queer politics, disability politics, capitalism, identity, Anthropocene, the (under)commons, community art, conflict & design, healing & rituals, history, big data). 
 
Sint Lucas Antwerpen offers a nurturing research environment of dedicated and experienced tutors, researchers and PhD students as well as an international network of professionals, institutions and guest lecturers. Read more about the programme> 
 
This class has a maximum of twelve students
 
This Master of Research in Art and Design is intended for candidates with a MA degree. Holders of both masters in visual arts or design and in other subjects with an active arts or design practice care invited to apply with a letter of motivation, a research proposal and a portfolio.  
 
The application process for the 2023–24 programme closes on August 18, 2023. If selected, you will be invited for a digital interview on August 23–25, 2023.  
 
The programme starts in-person in Antwerpen on September 25 and lasts till the end of June 2024.
