Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre's Book and Policy Paper about Mentorship

Wednesday 28 June 2023

The Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (EAMT), along with five other partner universities and/or institutions, has been participating in the Eramsus+ strategic partnership project "Reinventing Mentorship in Arts Management" (REMAM) since September 2020.

Reinventing Mentoring in Arts Management (REMAM) is the Erasmus+ strategic partnership project that aims to co-create a new comprehensive understanding of cultural management mentorship as a framework for professional life-long learning as well as part of academic education. Its focus is on establishing and maintaining a sustainable interaction between students, potential employers and field practitioners, simultaneously renewing the understanding of mentoring and creating a novel way for “mentorage” that allows co-creation of knowledge. The project runs for 3 years (September 2020 – August 2023) and is funded by the European Union. Learn more about REMAM

The project is ending in August, and EAMT has completed 2 out of 3 of the intellectual outputs. The first of them is a comprehensive book on mentorship in arts and creative industries management. The book is available on the homepage of the project under “Intellectual Outputs”

In addition to the book, EAMT has also completed a policy paper on mentorship that researched mentorship as a framework for professional life-long learning with a focus on establishing and maintaining a sustainable interaction between students, potential employers, and field practitioners. The policy paper focuses on four issues of value for policymakers: Value Co-creation and Knowledge Sharing, Innovation and Digitalization, Diversity and Sustainability, Social Equality, Accessibility, and Inclusion in the Cultural Sector.
