Remix Fest 2023 is an opportunity to learn about archives, get inspired, and experience the possibilities of archival material. Sound & Vision (Beeld & Geluid) is organizing the second edition of REMIX Fest on Thursday 5 October. REMIX Fest is an inspiring day for students (and educators) of film and art schools fully focused on what audiovisual archives have to offer for your creative ambitions. REMIX Fest provides practical insights, investigative perspectives and lots of examples: everything is covered. The day includes masterclasses, workshops and showcases on copyright, research and historical footage. Artists, legal experts, filmmakers and data experts take you into the fascinating world of archive material and especially how you can use it creatively. Speakers: a.o. Archival Consciousness, Pablo Núñez Palma, Studio Immersief, Visual Methodologies Collective, Wineke Gartz, Onno Petersen & Erik Wesselo and experts from Sound & Vision. REMIX Fest will close this long day full of learning, experiences and inspiration with drinks and dj’s at the bar of Sound & Vision.
