Call for participation for the EuroFabrique Design Camp!  From 5-9 February 2024, le Signe, centre national du graphisme will host this second camp, a laboratory of workshops, masterclasses, lectures, and meetings combining theoretical approaches (fostered by guest speakers from the fields of philosophy, semiology, art direction) and design experimentation to lay the substratum for the visual identity of the continuing and evolving EuroFabrique. This week of in-person work will be followed by a month of remote work with weekly meetings facilitated by a graphic design studio. 

 

Based on the singular experience of the first EuroFabrique held at the Grand Palais in Paris in 2022 - and building on a further design camp to be held in Cluj Napoca in Romania in December 2023, the core values identified will be translated into a visual or multimedia representation. 

 

This laboratory will develop a repertory of graphic elements and a methodology that can be used by the stakeholders of the project in a dynamic yet recognizable and sensible visual language that reaches out through a clear and sound understanding of those shared values. 

 

The harmonisation and fine-tuning of this repertory will be ensured via the accompanied remote work with all the participants. The participants should plan to travel to Chaumont on Sunday 4 February and return home on Saturday 10 February 2024.
