Position: Events Intern  
Location: Hybrid (Amsterdam & Online)  
Application Deadline: 17 November 2023  
Duration: 4-6 months, 32 hours a week (Start date: beginning of December 2023)

Job Description  
Are you interested in developing online, hybrid and in-person events for the higher arts education sector? Would you like to experiment, support and co-create events for students, academic staff and leadership teams? ELIA is looking for a driven Intern to assist in a variety of tactical and logistical tasks associated with organising the upcoming ELIA events, online and physical. The Events Intern should have some experience in event management and an ability to work independently. Excellent organisational skills and a pro-active attitude are a must. Experiences with digital events and video production are preferred.  
 
Responsibilities 

The Events Intern will assist the ELIA Conference Manager and the ELIA Team with:  

  • Supporting the logistics, production and registration efforts for the upcoming ELIA events  
  • Supporting the communication activities regarding the ELIA events  
  • Assisting with events’ programme planning  
  • Preparation of events’ materials (mostly digital)  
  • Coordination of (post)event documentation  
Requirements  
  • Higher education qualification in Events Management or similar;  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English;  
  • Ability to effectively communicate and liaise with different groups and cultures;  
  • Computer literate and knowledge of Microsoft Office;  
  • Basic knowledge of video conferencing tools and video production;  
  • Video-editing skills;  
  • Good technical and IT skills;  
  • Self-motivated, pro-active, well-organised, efficient;  
  • Experiences and knowledge about event marketing and event communication are a must.
