The University of Rzeszów is a community of almost 20 thousand students, doctoraI students and employees. Constituted in 2001, they are the largest university in Podkarpacie, educating over 15,000 students in 61 academic disciplines. They are currently accredited to offer 22 doctoral and 22 post-doctoral degree studies.  

 

The campus is located in Rzeszów, Poland, a thriving city which, like the University, offers a conducive environment to young people as it supports creative initiatives and grass root-based creation. 

 

The campus boasts facilities such as the University Library, which is the largest library in south-eastern Poland. They also have a wide range of sports facilities such as wall climbing, a dance hall, a gym and two sports halls.  

 

They have a College of Humanities, Nature Sciences, Social Sciences and of Medical Sciences. In the College of Humanities, they offer courses such as Applied Linguistics, Culture Studies, Graphics, Jazz and Popular Music, Museum Studies, Visual Arts, Painting, Music Education, Journalism and Social Communication and many more. Aside from studies, the university offers a wide range of extracurriculars such as the University Academic Sports Association Club that organises many sports activities, the University Institute of Fine Arts Gallery which organises exhibitions, author speeches, presentations and activities relating to contemporary fine arts, the Institute of Music Choir, the Song and Dance Ensemble “Resovia Saltans”, the Students’ Journalism Club Magazine, the University Radio,  Students’ Theatre S.T.O.S. The University of Rzeszów is part of Erasmus+, offering study exchange with about 180 foreign academic institutions as well as 330 universities within the Erasmus+ program from Europe, USA, China and the Ukraine. And they offer Polish language courses for foreigners at the university.
