Open Call for the 12th International Eco-Poster Triennial the "4th Block"

Tuesday 23 January 2024

Calling all designers, artists and creatives! The Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts, as a partner and co-organizer of the 12th International Eco-Poster Triennial the "4th Block", invites students of related academies to participate in this event! The triennial, despite the ongoing war, will take place in Kharkiv.

Despite the hardships of the ongoing war, they have decided not to break the 30-year-long tradition and hold the 12th International Eco-Poster Triennial “The 4th Block” (originally founded in 1991 by Oleg Veklenko). Even in the darkest of times—in the age of uncertainty and dread, we must rethink our present and fight tirelessly against all evil, so that we can create a just future. This is a time to reimage our humanity, our relationship with the world and with one another, and this is the focus of their three nominations:

1. REIMAGE THE FUTURE

2. REIMAGE HUMANITY’S PLACE IN THE GLOBAL ECOSYSTEM

3. REIMAGE MARIUPOL

They are looking for posters which are inspired by these three key themes. View all technical requirements and submission details here.

The exhibition "Mariupol: 86 days of strength" will be held in February 2024 in Kyiv. The main exhibition of the Triennial, which will include nominations 1 and 2, will be exhibited in Kharkiv in April 2024. A catalog will be published following the exhibition. There will also be several awards given out and all participants will receive a certificate of participation.

Deadline for nominations:

The deadline for REIMAGE MARIUPOL “MARIUPOL: 86 DAYS OF STRENGTH” is January 20, 2024

For themes 1 and 2, the deadline is January 31, 2024.
