New UAx 2024 Matches are Announced

Thursday 15 February 2024

The ELIA UAx Team is proud to announce the new UAx 2024 Matches.

At the heart of the UAx Platform initiative lies the formation of an ELIA Sister School network, giving higher arts institutions in Ukraine the opportunity to become ELIA member institutions and linking them as Sister Schools with existing ELIA members across Europe. Each year, from 2022 to 2025, UAx announces an open call to create five new partnerships between five Ukrainian and five non-Ukrainian ELIA member institutions, a total of fifteen partnerships. The institutions are matched as Sister Schools within the UAx Platform based on similarities in their disciplinary profiles and several other criteria, such as their motivation, resources, and geography.

The new UAx 2024 Matches are as follows:

  1. National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture, Kyiv | Oulu University of Applied Sciences, Finland

  2. Kyiv Municipal Academy of Circus and Performing Arts, Kyiv | London Contemporary Dance School, United Kingdom

  3. R. Glier Kyiv Municipal Academy of Music, Kyiv | Berklee College of Music, Valencia/Boston, Spain/USA

  4. Kherson National Technical University, Kherson (Department of IT and Design) | Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology, Warsaw, Poland and School of Design of the Politecnico di Milano, Italy

  5. Transcarpathian Academy of Arts, Uzhhorod | Art Academy of Latvia, Riga, Latvia

  6. The University Arts London (UAL) will assume a broader role within UAx. Unlike specific sister school pairings, UAL will serve as an overarching sister for all sister schools in the project.

We thank all of the sister schools for their participation and look forward to a fruitful year of collaboration!
