Save the Date: Transformations – Forum on Artistic Practice and Theory

HfK Bremen invites you to their event series “Transformations – Forum on Artistic Practice and Theory” taking place between 20 - 21 June 2024, located in Bremen, Germany. The events will be held in-person at HfK’s boat “Daurwelle”, the university’s mobile exhibition space, and the auditorium of the HfK Art and Design campus. 

Consisting of performances, interventions, talks, and roundtables, the sessions aim to contribute to the dialogue and discussion on the transformative processes of artistic research as a practice-led method of producing, challenging, questioning, and reshaping knowledge through artistic practices. The focus lies on the potentials of institutionalising these processes, the interests they serve, and the future educational frameworks they can and need to bring forth. 

The event series will explore the dynamic intersection of art, society, and transformation, seeking to uncover how artistic practices can actively shape our social realities. Embracing diverse perspectives and transdisciplinary dialogue, the sessions will tackle pressing issues like climate change, power dynamics, and cultural politics.
