ELIA Online Repository: HAE Responses to the Crisis in Gaza
Friday 26 July 2024

On 31 May 2024, ELIA issued the updated Statement on the Humanitarian Crisis in Gaza and Student Protests, reaffirming its commitment to addressing urgent questions about the role of higher arts education institutions in relation to the current crisis. As part of ELIA’s directive for translating this commitment into tangible action, it was decided that an Online Repository would be created gathering for reference, various responses from institutions and and members of the higher education arts community.
The ELIA Online Repository features examples of how higher arts education stakeholders have responded and continue to respond to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the violations of human rights and international law in Palestine and Israel.
Through documenting these responses, it will serve as a departure point for anyone in the sector wanting to find out how this conflict and humanitarian crisis is impacting higher arts education in Europe and across the globe.
The respository is meant as an online space where members of the higher arts education community can learn from each others' initiatives, methodologies, toolkits, and knowledge resources. It also provides access to some useful resources from international networks and NGOs.
