Join the International Forum for Art and Sustainability, Organised by TAIPEI University of the Arts

Wednesday 2 October 2024

The 2024 International Forum for Art and Sustainability, organised by TAIPEI University of the Arts (TNUA), will take place on 4 and 5 October 2024. The first International Forum for Art and Sustainability was held in 2022, focusing on initiating and implementing sustainable art practices. Over the past two years, TNUA has collaborated with various institutions to develop sustainable art policies. With over 40 experts and scholars from Taiwan and around the world expected to attend, the event aims to build industry consensus and enhance its influence through in-depth discussions on policy and practice.

The forum will feature many notable international figures in sustainable art, including Morien Rees, Chair of the International Committee on Museums and Sustainable Development (SUSTAIN) from the International Council of Museums (ICOM); Hannah Graham, Arts Council England Programme Manager of Julie’s Bicycle; Paddy Dillon and Lisa Burger, authors of the Theatre Green Book; and Prof. Eric Herve H. Ponthieu, an EU cultural policy expert.

Prominent speakers from Arts Council England, Festival d’Avignon in France, Vivid Sydney, the Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences in Australia, and the Manchester Museum in the UK, along with key industry figures promoting the Theatre Green Book in Europe, Scotland, Belgium, and Australia, will participate online. In addition to these global contributions, young sustainability advocates from Taiwan will share their innovative art and education projects, while government bodies and other institutions will present their action plans.

The forum will be live-streamed in its entirety on YouTube, available in both English and Chinese.
