Fontys Rockacademie celebrates its 25th Anniversary

On 15 October 2024, at 013 Poppodium, Fontys Rockacademie celebrates its 25th anniversary with a big concert, a reunion and a symposium on the future of music. Keeping up with developments in the pop sector, Rockacademie has numerous famous former students, who have built fine careers in front of or behind the scenes in the Dutch or international music industry. Meanwhile, Rockacademie remains popular with up-and-coming talent. Recognised as a top education, it continues to develop and is ready to train talented musicians to become enterprising professionals who will help define the pop sector for the next 25 years.

Programme

The celebratory day starts with a conference organised by Rockacademie. This congress focuses on the future of pop music and is particularly interesting for people from the music industry. Speakers include Alexander Beets (Rockacademie), Jos Feijen (Effenaar), Michel Peek (ARMADA PUBLISHING), amongst others. Concerts with former students will take place in the evening. There will be performances by well-known former students such as Eefje de Visser and Joël Domingos, as well as a special tribute project to Henny Vrienten of Doe Maar. Emerging talents will also climb the stage, and visitors will get to know the talents of the future in a unique way.
