ELIA Academy 2025: Call for Contributions

We are excited to announce that ELIA Academy 2025 will be hosted by Kristiania University College in Oslo, Norway, from 18 – 20 June 2025. The Academy Steering Group invites ELIA member colleagues from all artistic disciplines to engage with the theme Life-Integrated Learning. 


Life-Integrated Learning

ELIA Academy 2025 invites you on a three-day exploration of what we mean by Life-Integrated Learning – a concept that extends work-integrated learning to encompass the physical, emotional, environmental, societal, technological, and political dimensions we face in our daily lives. Together, we examine how our individual and collective experiences can be integrated into teaching and learning practices.

We encourage arts practitioners, technicians, students, and educators to bring curiosity and openness as they explore thought-provoking pedagogies, experimental methodologies, and works-in-progress in this supportive and collaborative environment.

Through Life-Integrated Learning, we hope to illuminate new ways forward, transforming ourselves, our students, and our communities.


What are we looking for?

The ELIA Academy is a platform for educational innovation, welcoming boundary-crossing contributions that engage participants in a variety of formats, from real-life scenarios and creative digital approaches to performance lectures and experiments.

With minimal guidelines, we encourage diverse, interactive presentations that spark discussion on teaching and learning in the arts. ELIA Academy 2025 invites captivating methodologies, works-in-progress, and emerging ideas to be shared, explored, and challenged in a collaborative learning space.


Who can apply?

Lecturers, artists, curriculum developers, designers, architects, musicians, technicians, artistic researchers, and educators involved in arts education at ELIA member institutions. Students are also strongly encouraged to share their work and learning experiences.
