ELIA Seeks New Events Intern

Are you interested in developing online, hybrid, and in person events for the higher arts education sector? Would you like to explore, support, and co-create events for students, academic staff, and leadership teams? ELIA is looking for a driven Events Intern to assist in a variety of tactical and logistical tasks associated with organising upcoming ELIA events, both online and in person. Position: ELIA Events Intern Location: Amsterdam (hybrid) Duration: 5 - 6 months, 32 hours a week (FTE 0.8) Start date: End of February 2025 Deadline for applications: 2 February 2025 The Events Intern should have some experience in event management and an ability to work independently. Excellent organisational skills and a proactive attitude are a must. Experience with digital events and video production is preferred. Responsibilities The Events Intern will assist the ELIA Conference Manager, Events Coordinator, and the ELIA Team with: - Supporting the logistics, production, and registration efforts for upcoming ELIA events, especially for the ETHO Technical Community Conference 2025, PIE Annual Meeting 2025, and ELIA Academy 2025;
- Supporting communication activities related to ELIA events;
- Assisting with the planning of event programmes;
- Preparing event materials (mostly digital);
- Coordinating (post)event documentation.
Requirements - Higher education qualification in Events Management or a related field;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English;
- Ability to effectively communicate and liaise with diverse groups and cultures;
- Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office;
- Basic knowledge of video conferencing tools and video production;
- Video editing skills;
- Good technical and IT skills;
- Self-motivated, proactive, well-organised, and efficient;
- Experience and knowledge in event marketing and event communication are appreciated.
