A Methodological Handbook for Social Design Collaborations
Monday 20 January 2025

The Change Agents – Blueprints for Interinstitutional Collaborations in Social Design project, an exciting two-year Erasmus+ initiative, has culminated in the development of a methodological handbook. Created in collaboration with educators, researchers, and civil society organisations, this handbook aims to foster meaningful connections between higher education institutions and civil society, promoting collaborations focused on real-world challenges that generate impactful value.
The project partnership consists of six higher education institutions – with Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design (MOME) as project coordinator – and two NGOs as associated partners. These institutions are all part of the Social Design Network, reflecting their collective commitment to advancing social design practices.
The handbook is now available for free download as an Open Access resource on the project website. It offers valuable theoretical insights alongside practical tools and methods, including case studies and interviews. Aimed at researchers, educators, and activists, this volume is designed to be a valuable resource for those looking to explore and engage in social design collaborations.
