Call for Proposals: WORKS + WORDS 2026 Biennale

Monday 10 March 2025  

Aarhus School of Architecture (AAA) and The Royal Danish Academy/Architecture invite submissions for the WORKS + WORDS 2026 Biennale in Artistic Research in Architecture, taking place in Aarhus, Denmark, between 5 March 2026 – 10 April 2026 across three prominent inner-city venues. 

This international call seeks diverse and high-quality contributions from academia, professional practice, and independent researchers, showcasing artistic research in architecture through exhibitions, written reflections, and a symposium. The Biennale welcomes submissions across all media, scales, and materials—from full-scale constructions to experimental spatial representations.  

Selected participants will also have the opportunity to present their work at the Biennale’s opening symposium!
