Call for Papers: Art and Science—Thinking Outside the Box

In celebration of its 80th anniversary, the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (AMU) invites submissions for the international conference Art and Science: Thinking Outside the Box, taking place from 18–20 November 2025 in Prague, Czechia. 

This interdisciplinary event aims to spark dialogue at the intersection of audiovisual arts, photography, music, dance, performance, the sciences, and the humanities. Scholars, artists, and researchers at all career stages are encouraged to submit proposals that challenge conventional boundaries and explore new modes of thinking. Theatre director Thomas Ostermeier will be speaking on theatre and sociology.

Collaboration between artists and scientists 

Artistic research and knowledge production 

Technology and innovation in the arts 

Epistemological approaches in art and science
