Welcoming Our New Member: Accademia di Belle Arti di Napoli
Tuesday 24 June 2025

We are pleased to welcome the Accademia di Belle Arti di Napoli (Naples Academy of Fine Arts) to ELIA!
Founded in 1752, the Accademia di Belle Arti di Napoli is one of Italy’s oldest and most prestigious institutions for higher artistic education.
Based in Naples, the Academy has played a central role in the development of Italian art, training generations of prominent artists, sculptors and designers. Today, it offers a wide range of programmes in painting, sculpture, graphic design, scenography and new media – combining classical instruction with contemporary approaches to artistic practice.
With around 4,000 students and thirty undergraduate and postgraduate courses, the Academy is the second largest state institution of Higher Artistic Education in Italy. It is also home to Italy’s first Doctorate of Research of National Interest in the arts, further underscoring its leading role in artistic research and education in southern Italy.
Connect with and learn more about the academy by visiting their website. We warmly welcome Accademia di Belle Arti di Napoli to the ever-growing ELIA community, and we look forward to future collaborations!
