Monday 8 September 2025

Aalto University is delighted to announce its recent publishing of Diving into Radical Creativity MOOC, a free online course on Radical Creativity run by Aalto ARTS. First launched in Finland last November, this course has received excellent reviews from professionals, students, and life-wide learners alike. Aalto University aims to raise awareness of the course to a wider, international audience, making creativity skills more accessible to everyone. Diving into Radical Creativity is a free, open-to-all, research-based online course. It brings together insights and experiences from business, technology, arts, and design, while also exploring how to drive societal change. The course introduces radical creativity as a concept and equips participants with practical tools and confidence to apply creative thinking in both personal and professional contexts. The course content can be studied in any order, at any pace, and to any extent—whether simply browsing the materials or completing all the assignments. Participants earn a course certificate upon completing the introductory chapters and three sub-chapters from each of the five main chapters. This is estimated to be equivalent to 3 ECTS credits and requires around 72 hours of study. Assignments include quizzes, real-world case studies, and reflection activities. Educators are also encouraged to integrate the course into their own teaching, free of charge. You can find more information about the course here.
