Call for Submissions: Si Cinéma #7 – International Festival of Film in Art Schools

The 7th edition of Si Cinéma, the International Festival of in Art Schools organised by école supérieure d'arts & médias de Caen/Cherbourg (ésam), is now open for submissions.

 

Si Cinéma celebrates emerging voices in film and audiovisual creation from art and design schools worldwide. The festival provides a platform for young directors to present their work to a wide audience, encouraging dialogue, experimentation, and collaboration across artistic disciplines. 

 

Eligible participants include students and 2024–2025 graduates from French and international higher education art and design institutions. Films must have been completed between 2022 and 2025 and must not exceed 60 minutes in duration. All genres are welcome, including fiction, documentary, experimental, and animation.

 

Approximately thirty films will be selected and screened at Café des Images in Hérouville Saint-Clair on 26–27 March 2026. The festival will feature four screening sessions, with several prizes awarded for outstanding works. Winning films will also be showcased in partner cinemas following the festival.
