VIS Open Call #16: “Beyond Compliance: Ethics in Artistic Research”

VIS – Nordic Journal for Artistic Research invites artistic researchers to contribute to Open Call #16, focusing on ethics as a generative force in artistic research. This issue explores how ethical considerations can actively shape, direct, and enrich creative practices, moving beyond mere compliance to become a dynamic part of the research process.

The journal asks: What happens when ethics are central to artistic inquiry? How can ethical tensions themselves inspire new directions in research? Contributions are encouraged that engage with these questions, reflecting on ethics as an integral and generative aspect of practice.

VIS particularly welcomes contributions in Nordic languages, but proposals in English or bilingual submissions are also encouraged to foster wider accessibility and international exchange.
