Aparajita Dutta, Head of International Affairs at the
Royal Academy of Art/Royal Conservatoire/ University
of the Arts, The Hague, has been working in the field of
internationalisation in higher education since 1999. She has
worked for marketing and recruitment and gradually moved
into policy, advising and research into the many facets
of internationalisation and education, now also including
diversity and inclusion. Aparajita is one of the founders and
chair ofthe Platform Internationalisation ELIA(PIE) in 2018
and founder and chair of All Netherlands Art Academies
International Relations Network (2013).
She has been the Chair of All Netherlands University of
Applied Sciences International Relations Group (2019 – 2021)
and member ofthe Agenda Committee forthe last 10 years.
Aparajita has been giving keynote speeches and workshops
on intercultural understanding and communication and
internationalisation in art education. Since 2021 she is a
member of the Advisory Board of International Research
Project Lucerne Art Academy, Switzerland and National
Institute of Design Ahmedabad India. Currently she is doing
her PhD on internationalisation offine arts and design higher
education in Europe at Leiden University, Department of
Academic and Performing Arts.
