I am the Dean of the Lucerne School of Art and Design. The university offers study programs that are unique in Switzerland and positions itself in research with creative focal points in design, art and film. It is one of the six departments at the Lucerne University of Applied Arts and Sciences, which employs more than 1,800 staff members and educates around 11,500 students. Before becoming director, I was vice-director at the Lucerne School of Art and Design for one and a half years. I was responsible for digital transformation and interdisciplinarity and the programs in fine arts. Prior to my work in Lucerne, I was responsible forthe bachelor’s and master’s programs in theater, which included scenography, dramaturgy, theater pedagogy, acting, directing, at the Zurich University of the Arts. I studied German language and literature, economics, and philosophy. My research activities as a sociologist of science in research fields like linguistic anthropology, innovation leadership, and game theatre have prepared me for the different styles of thinking and acting in art, design, and film education. In addition, I am also a member of various foundation councils such as AKKU in Emmenbruecke or the cartoon museum in Basel etc. |
