This (hybrid) panel conversation brings together local and international artists, and cultural and education professionals. Joining from different parts of the world, and with varying artistic and educational practices, panellists explore a common interest in connecting arts, research and education with community-building practices.
The session, hosted by ELIA, is designed as an exchange of experiences and insights, and will include both on-site and online contributors. Discover how academic institutions, local communities and city life can interact and find out more about the role creative initiatives and arts practices can play in this context.
Both ELIA members and non-members are welcome to join the session online.

This hybrid session is part of the Where Arts and Community Meet Conference organised by Cultuur & Campus Putselaan in Rotterdam.
Cultuur & Campus Putselaan is a vibrant hub in South Rotterdam where education, culture, and the community converge. In a former school building on Putselaan, learning, collaboration, and creativity are combined. Cultuur & Campus Putselaan is building an inclusive and sustainable space for everyone.
Putselaan is a place where people and organisations collaborate on solutions to neighbourhood challenges. The campus and the neighbourhood are developing ideas together. This way, learning remains connected to the local community. This project is about empowering people, stimulating innovation, and building a better South Rotterdam together.
