Future Arts: Glenn Loughran
 

Glenn Loughran is an artist and lecturer at the TU Dublin School of Creative Arts. He is course leader on the the MA Art and Environment (West Cork) and the B.A in Visual Art (Sherkin Island). Originally from Belfast N.Ireland, Loughran has studied Art and Design at the Ulster University (1991), Dun Laoghaire College of Art Design Technology (Diploma / 2002), Fine Art Painting at the National College of Art and Design (B.A / 2003), Sculpture at NCAD (M.A 2005) and a doctorate at the NCAD/ Graduate School of Creative Arts and Media (GradCAM 2012). Exhibiting nationally and internationally his work has developed hybrid forms of artistic research at the intersection of artistic practice, pedagogical process and evental philosophy. Key projects include: The Hedgeschoolproject (2006 – 12) / Mode D (2011 – 14) / After the Future…of Work (2016 – 20) / What is an island? (2018 – 21).
