How To Get Back To School

How To Get Back To School (online event)

Wednesday 12 May 2021
15:00 – 16:00 CEST

ELIA is delighted to present a new series of online events encouraging practical and hands-on approaches, knowledge and experience sharing in an informative online environment.

This first ELIA ‘How to’ session will focus on how universities and academies in the arts are preparing to go back to school, after this long period of limitations and isolation due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

This transition demands careful consideration and this session will cover the several factors involved. A key fundamental element is online and hybrid teaching in the arts. E-learning and online teaching have evolved enormously in the last year. So much so, that some institutions have radically changed their strategy as a result. E-learning and online teaching will probably gain more importance in the sector, even when it comes to practise-based teaching.

Together with ELIA members Guildhall School and Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) we will explore how they are preparing for the next academic year and what is their experience with hybrid learning and teaching.
