 NEU NOW FESTIVALEurope’s Emerging Artists NEU NOW, an initiative of ELIA, existed as a transdisciplinary art festival from 2009-2017 and was devoted to presenting the work of exceptional emerging artists. Every year, our international jury selects the best of graduating artists across Europe. We nurture the fluid character of the artistic disciplines by showcasing a cross-section of exciting developments on the contemporary art scene through a programme in which exhibitions, performances, workshops and artist talks converge to provide new perspectives. Previous editions of the NEU NOW festival were held in Vilnius, Tallinn, Nantes, Porto, Amsterdam and Glasgow. In 2015 we returned to Amsterdam, excited to put down roots in one city. In September, 2019 a tenth and final edition of NEU NOW as it existed was digitally published here, and an installation was presented at the closing of the ELIA Academy 2019 in Stuttgart, Germany.
