In an association with Mira Art Gallery and its annual photography event — MIP Mês da Imagem do Porto — we challenged our students to recreate through photography different paintings. The goal was to match the paintings’ characteristics solely with the setting, color and light, and without any after edition. Students: Alda Teixeira, Ana Leonor Mendes, Ana Luísa Almeida, Ana Marisa Marques, Ângela Barbosa, Ângela Rodrigues, Beatriz Lopes, Beatriz Kingwell, Diana Oliveira, Isabel Lourenço, João Santos, Mariana Carvalhinho, Mariana Topa, Rafaela Moreira, Raquel Moreira, Rita Santos, Sofia Barbosa, Tânia Cardoso.

In collaboration with Porto’s City Hall’s Cultural Department, we developed a series of workshops and guided tours, around the art pieces that were created for ALUMIA, a light art works’ call for artists.
The video exemplifies one of the light painting workshops carried out by our students.
