Supervision from a Distance

Thursday 4 June 2020

Hosted by the Strategic Partnership Project “Advancing Supervision for Artistic Research Doctorates” this virtual talk offered the opportunity to share experiences navigating the “new normal” within an artistic research supervision relationship.

The aim of this online conversation was to engage with new ideas and framework conditions to create a positive impact.

Kick-off contributions by Michaela Glanz (Academy of Fine Arts Vienna), Fiona Jardine (The Glasgow School of Art), and Hans Knut Sveen (University of Bergen) reflected on “remote supervising” from different supervising perspectives.

The Erasmus Plus Strategic Partnership Project, Advancing Supervision for Artistic Research Doctorates, in which ELIA is an active partner, produces ready-to-use intellectual outputs for those involved in doctoral supervision across all art disciplines.

The recording of the online session is available exclusively to ELIA members here.
