Sustainable Careers Online Consultation

Sustainable Careers Online Consultation

The Sustainable Careers in the Arts Platform met virtually on 16 March 2020.

The participants explored the priority areas, set by the working group:

  • Skills that artists need
  • Methods of teaching and illustrating these skills
  • Demonstrating the value of the arts
  • Addressing resistance to issues concerning sustainable career progression

Guest speaker Pascal Gielen, professor of cultural sociology at the University of Antwerpen and editor in chief of Arts in Society, talked about the role of the artist in society while discussing how they should be equipped to maximise their career potential.
