In these post-normal times of high uncertainty, we need to challenge old stories about futures and imagine new ones. In this keynote, Mikko Dufva will discuss using weak signals of change as a tool for broadening our range of imaginable futures and the role of arts in experiencing futures in the present moment. What cannot be discussed? What doesn’t fit? What gives hope? And how to move from these questions to new, empowering stories about futures - stories, which will turn to action?

FAST45 Workshop on Futures Images for Arts Schools

This workshop introduces the FAST45 project that investigates the futures of institutions of higher arts education in Europe. The participants will get an opportunity to discuss emerging trends and weak signals in order to create futures images concerning higher arts education. The workshop gives a quick taster on the Futures Arts School Labs, a participatory workshop tool for institutions of higher arts education to explore possible and desired futures as part of their development processes.
