ETHO Online: The Changing Role of Technical Staff

As technologies, environments, teaching practices and skillsets are evolving in higher art education, the role of technical staff is changing as well. How are technicians being involved in the curriculum development? What connections/bridges should be generated between technical and academic staff? How are the technical and practical skills being implemented in the teaching of future artists? Are the roles being re-defined?

Colleagues from the University of the West of England Bristol and ESMAE, Escola Superior de Musica e das Artes do Espectaculo in Porto will share their experience and lead the discussion about the changing role of technical staff.
