ELIA x CAN Webinar: Strengthening Arts in Global Education

Organised by ELIA and Community Arts Network, this webinar charted a roadmap for addressing challenges and strengthening arts education. Together with the Arts Education for All and Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Working Groups, a discussion was held on ways to enhance the inclusivity and accessibility of the arts for all ages while promoting cross-generational learning.

Arts in Education Spotlight Session:
A Borderless Future for Teachers of the Arts

The Arts Education for All Community Hub met to examine ways of enhancing art teachers’ professional qualifications, through advocating for a new European system. The idea being that this system would recognise intercultural learning and mobility without compromising existing internationalisation processes or career paths in teachers’ respective countries.

Arts in Education Spotlight Session (Online)
A vehicle for identity formation

The first ELIA Arts Education for All Community Hub Spotlight Session, focused on the mature art student’s journey and lifelong learning (topics which ELIA members have identified as relevant). This online event celebrated the launch of the new community hub. Together with representatives from Limerick School of Art and Design, we explored self-determination, reflection and the formation of identity within higher arts education. Afterwards, the participants joined our speed networking session, and met one-to-one with likeminded arts education professionals.
