INTERNATIONALISATION | PIEPIE (Platform Internationalisation ELIA) is a platform for discussion, cooperation and guidance for your institution’s approach to internationalisation. PIE is a platform for sharing knowledge on implementing the different facets of internationalisation within higher arts education institutions. And of course, we will indulge in some real pie during the meetings – food for thought and body! ELIA facilitates the activities of this platform, which represents the multidisciplinary and multi-cultural character of the ELIA network. Meetings are often digital but also physical, at least once a year. Starting in November 2020, members of PIE will be able to meet and chat in ELIA’s virtual meeting space. PIE was initiated by ELIA in 2018 thanks to Aparajita Dutta and Thomas Greenough with the aim of establishing a grassroots group involved in researching and implementing internationalisation in higher arts education institutions. In 2020 and 2021, PIE hosted several online events which continued the conversation around the Internationalisation of the Curriculum and Internationalisation at Home, and open up to new topics, such as: Ethics in Internationalisation Cooperations and Diversity, Equal Opportunities and Inclusion.
